About the role
Overview
As the Digital Ad Technology Manager, you will play a vital role in leading and optimizing our digital marketing campaigns focused on both branding and response objectives. This pivotal position will oversee the setup of campaign components, ensure quality assurance processes are in place, develop best practices, and guide staff activities to achieve successful campaign execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary escalation point for troubleshooting, testing, and implementing ad operations.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for ad serving.
- Oversee day-to-day campaign logistics.
- Provide technical support to clients, resolving discrepancies and third-party tracking issues efficiently.
- Monitor campaign delivery and assets, identifying potential issues and proposing solutions.
- Evaluate new technologies, market trends, and best practices in the industry.
- Streamline process flows and enhance operational efficiency.
- Stay updated on changes in ad server technology and communicate relevant updates to teams.
- Test digital creative ads for proper implementation and ad serving.
- Timely traffic ad tags to vendors.
- Communicate ongoing status updates of campaign implementations to appropriate teams.
- Engage in and provide oversight during the QA process.
- Regularly interface with partners, addressing issues such as reporting discrepancies and trafficking requirements.
- Implement site analytic event tag URL extensions effectively.
- Manage trafficking, testing, and implementation of ad campaigns and pixel tags as needed.
- Monitor live campaigns to ensure proper ad serving, click actions, and conversion tracking.
- Coordinate client data feeds when necessary.
- Facilitate tagging and integration efforts with third-party services including Programmatic Engines and ad verification partners.
- Document protocols related to client terms.
- Collaborate with the Director of Digital Ad Operations to manage staff productivity and resource allocation to meet or exceed billable goals.
- Foster staff performance, ensuring both internal and external client expectations are met or exceeded.
- Develop, motivate, and train Digital Ad Operations Associates and Specialists effectively.
- Establish and monitor corporate and individual development goals for your team.
- Participate in corporate projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in digital ad technology.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Senior Specialist role.
- Strong understanding of Ad Tech fundamentals and concepts.
- Familiarity with GCM is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong presentation capabilities.
- Proven expertise in time management, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members and expertly delegate tasks.
