About the Role:

Annapolis Home Magazine, a luxury design, and artistic lifestyle brand, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Digital & Social Media Strategist. This part-time contractor role combines strategic oversight with hands-on content creation, including local videography and photography, to showcase the brand’s sophistication and aesthetic.

Must live within 20 miles of Annapolis, MD, for local content projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead social media and digital content strategy aligned with the brand’s luxury, artistic vision.
  • Write engaging social posts and digital newsletters for discerning audiences.
  • Capture and produce high-quality videography and photography locally.
  • Design and optimize Constant Contact newsletters.
  • Analyze trends and audience insights to refine content strategy.
  • Collaborate with editorial and creative teams to maintain brand integrity.
  • Develop and implement engaging social media strategies across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others to increase brand awareness and audience engagement.
  • Create high-quality visual content using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Suite to support campaigns and brand identity.
  • Manage social media scheduling and posting using tools like Hootsuite and Buffer, ensuring consistent messaging and timely updates.
  • Optimize content for search engines (SEO) by conducting keyword research and integrating relevant keywords into posts and website content.
  • Analyze web analytics with Google Analytics and web analytics tools to measure campaign effectiveness and inform future strategies.
  • Oversee paid advertising campaigns on Facebook Advertising to maximize reach and engagement while tracking ROI.
  • Edit videos for social media using video editing tools to produce compelling multimedia content that resonates with audiences.

Skills

  • Proven experience in social media management, digital marketing, content creation, and branding strategies.
  • Strong graphic design skills with proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Suite applications.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices, keyword research techniques, and web analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Familiarity with social listening tools to monitor online conversations effectively.
  • Experience managing social media scheduling platforms like Hootsuite or Buffer for efficient campaign execution.
  • Ability to create engaging visual content including photography and basic video editing skills.
  • Excellent proofreading skills with attention to detail in all written communications.
  • Strong relationship management abilities to collaborate with internal teams, influencers, media outlets, and stakeholders.
  • Understanding of social media marketing trends including Facebook Advertising strategies for targeted campaigns.
  • Experience with web management.

Requirements:

  • BA or BFA in Marketing, Media, Fine Arts, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years professional experience in digital and social media content creation.
  • Expertise in social media writing, videography, photography, and digital newsletter design.
  • Must live within 20 miles of Annapolis, MD, for local content projects.
