Job Summary

A Data and Digital Product Owner will shape and deliver data-driven and digital products (web, mobile, CRM, loyalty, operations tools) to enhance guest experience and optimize hotel performance across the client’s French portfolio.

The role will own the vision, roadmap, and delivery of data and digital products that impact the full guest journey (awareness, booking, stay, post-stay) and hotel operations. S/he will act as the primary link between business stakeholders (revenue, operations, marketing, loyalty), technology teams, and hotel leaders, ensuring products drive occupancy, RevPAR, merchandise/ ancillary revenue, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for data and digital products supporting booking, loyalty, pricing, operations, and guest engagement for the French market.
  • Strong knowledge on emerging value drivers, value pools that determine success of investments in digital and data initiatives in Hospitality.
  • Build and prioritize the product backlog (epics, features, user stories) based on business value, guest insights, hotel feedback, and technical feasibility.
  • Translate commercial and operational challenges (e.g., upsell, direct bookings, staffing efficiency, ancillary revenue) into clear requirements for data and digital solutions.
  • Partner with data engineers, analysts, UX/UI designers, and development teams to deliver high-quality digital experiences (web/app/CRM) and data products (dashboards, pricing/forecasting tools, 360? guest view).
  • Use data and analytics (e.g., booking patterns, channel mix, guest feedback, NPS, online reviews) to inform prioritization and drive continuous product improvements.
  • Ensure data quality, GDPR compliance, and governance, especially for guest profiles, loyalty data, and transaction data across systems (PMS, CRS, CRM, channel manager, POS).
  • Monitor product KPIs (conversion, ADR, occupancy, RevPAR, ancillary revenue, guest satisfaction, operational SLAs) and regularly report progress, risks, and trade-offs to business and hotel leadership.
  • Coordinate with central and federated teams to support change management, pilots, training, and adoption of new features across hotels.
  • A strong collaborator with diverse client teams, third party teams, platform/ hyper-scaler teams. Bring cross-industry understanding in consumer behavioral trends.
  • Appreciation of trends, technologies in CX, integration, data platforms and comparative strengths, applications of AI models.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 10 to 15 years’ experience in product ownership/management, with at least 3 years in hospitality/hotels, travel, or closely related customer-centric services.
  • Strong understanding of hotel operations (front office, housekeeping, F&B), commercial levers (revenue management, distribution, loyalty, direct vs OTA), and guest experience.
  • Solid grasp of data concepts (PMS/ CRS/ CRM data, data models, pipelines, BI tools, APIs), digital product practices (web/ mobile/ CRM journeys, A/B testing, personalization) and usage/ limitations of AI in areas like guest profiling, segmentation, personalization, journey optimization, concierge, chat, smart room experiences, upsell and cross-sell optimization.
  • Experience working in agile environments with cross-functional, often distributed teams; comfortable working in an international group with stakeholders in France and potentially EMEA.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to challenge and align senior stakeholders across functions.
  • Professional proficiency in English; strong French is highly preferred for stakeholder and hotel engagement.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Hands-on experience with hospitality systems (PMS, CRS, channel manager, CRM/loyalty platforms, review management tools, BI dashboards).
  • Experience in designing or managing guest-facing digital journeys (booking engine, brand site, mobile app, online check-in/out, digital key, upsell flows).
  • Familiarity with French and EU data privacy/GDPR practices in a hospitality context.
