About
The role focuses on advancing the adoption, assessment, and integration of digital technologies to improve surgical outcomes and drive innovation within surgical R&D. Candidates will work in a dynamic environment blending business strategy, clinical affairs, and technological innovation, contributing to the strategic screening and implementation of digital assets for product development.
The position is open to Spring House PA or Raritan NJ.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Digital Tool & Data Workflow Assessment: Identify and evaluate digital tools, workflows, and analytic platforms to enhance surgical outcomes.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (engineering, clinical, IT, etc.) to gather requirements and support delivery of digital capabilities.
- Technology & Vendor Evaluation: Participate in technology assessments, vendor selection, and prototype validation of new digital solutions.
- Protocol Development: Develop standardized protocols for systematic assessment and selection of digital technologies relevant to surgical R&D.
- Data Integration & Automation: Assist in integrating data, building dashboards, and automating digital processes for improved operational efficiency.
- Project Tracking: Manage documentation, monitor milestones, and report project progress.
- Asset Screening: Evaluate strategic assets/technologies in line with company strategy, filtering and recommending those for further product development.
Requirements
- 5–7 years’ experience supporting digital platforms, medical devices, or health-related R&D programs.
- Strong technical background in digital tools for clinical data capture, analytics platforms, and familiarity with healthcare or surgical workflows (including medical device development).
- Proven ability to translate technical solutions/concepts into practical deliverables for an R&D environment.
- Experience with healthcare data systems, such as EPIC (patient data management).
- Excellent communication skills within and outside the team.
- R&D or strong clinical exposure/background, ideally, not from a chemistry background but someone who understands both tech and clinical environments.
- Bachelors Degree in a science related discipline.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Advanced proficiency in healthcare data platforms, data science (especially related to surgery), image analytics, AI/ML workflows, or UX/prototyping.
- Experience managing external vendors or partners.
- Experience developing digital tools for implementation and maintenance in clinical use at other companies.
- Strong skills in business and strategic review of technology assets.
- Familiarity working under global strategic teams, new business development, and clinical affairs.
