Our client is a renowned manufacturing company, recognized for its operational excellence and commitment to innovation. As part of its strategic development, it is recruiting an exceptional Director of Engineering — a technical leader capable of combining strategic vision with field mastery.

Reporting directly to senior management, you will have overall responsibility for the engineering department and will play a central role in achieving performance, innovation, and cost optimization objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a strategic expert for senior management — feasibility, innovation, and cost reduction
• Lead engineering projects and support project managers in achieving their objectives
• Develop specifications and budgets, with clear and measurable objectives
• Ensure facility safety and regulatory compliance
• Oversee machine park management — preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance
• Develop, coach, and mobilize a high-performing engineering team
• Continuously optimize manufacturing processes
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver projects on time and within budget

Profile Sought

• Inspiring, rigorous, and autonomous leader
• Outstanding communicator — comfortable with field teams and senior management
• Culture of continuous improvement and innovation
• Bilingual French / English (oral and written)
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and project management software
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 26000, and IATF standards
• Knowledge of CNESST processes
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering · Member of OIQ
• 10+ years of experience in engineering management
