The Opportunity
Multiverse is evolving into an AI-first, platform-led workforce transformation company. Our 200+ coaches are central to the experience. To scale bookings to $1bn+, we need to empower coaches by improving our proprietary Retool-based platform, Sidekick, which currently reduces admin burden but lacks strategic direction. This senior operator role in Operations leads a small team in a low-code environment, focusing on strategic clarity, stakeholder orchestration, and operational leverage rather than traditional product management.
What You Will Own
Strategy and Roadmap
- Define and own the 12-month Sidekick roadmap focused on business outcomes.
- Set strategic direction for Sidekick’s evolution.
- Build business cases for team growth and investment.
- Plan two quarters ahead, managing dependencies and delivery.
Stakeholder Leadership
- Interface between Sidekick and Product, Engineering, Delivery, Data & Insights, Support & Enablement.
- Manage the boundary between Sidekick and core platform.
- Translate operational needs and platform constraints.
- Represent coaching operations in cross-functional planning.
Team Leverage and Accountability
- Lead a team of 2 FTEs and 3 contractors with clear accountability.
- Instil operational disciplines without bureaucracy.
- Enable team self-sufficiency.
- Build cases for team expansion.
Adoption and Outcomes
- Own build-launch-adoption cycle focusing on impact.
- Partner with Data & Insights to solve data fragmentation.
- Drive adoption metrics with Support and Enablement.
About You
You are a senior operator with strategic range and pragmatism, experienced in building operational capability in high-growth businesses, standing up new functions and systems.
What We Are Looking For
- 9+ years in senior operational leadership roles in fast-growing tech or services.
- Proven ability to manage up and across, influence stakeholders, and align priorities.
- Experience owning internal platforms/tools with accountability for adoption and impact.
- Comfort with low-code and AI-assisted tooling.
- Ability to operate strategically and tactically.
- Strong judgement balancing process and agility.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
Bonus If You Bring
- Experience in education, training, or learning organisations.
- Background in management consulting, BizOps, or operational strategy.
- Previous hybrid operator-product roles.
- Familiarity with regulated workforce development markets.
- Experience managing external contractors.
