About The Role

Lead the HW development domain’s contributions to all projects worldwide and maintain staffing to support new development and maintenance.

Your Team

Your team is made up of ~40 Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (Europe region).

What You Will Do

  • Staff and maintain hardware & Mechanic domain teams to support projects & Products worldwide.
  • Responsible for the strategic resource balancing of the hardware teams within the Projects
  • Responsible for department Budget & Business Case plan which are relevant.
  • Manage and staff for the long-term support for Projects & Products
  • Drive innovation, new technology and patent creation across all Project teams
  • Drive HARMAN’s technical process and procedures, ensuring they are industry leading.
  • Responsible for career growth and technical skills enhancements for all staff.
  • Responsible for adherence to all HARMAN development processes to deliver the projects, on-time, on-quality, and within budget.
  • Responsible for RFQ/RFI HW/ME design and BoM, support customer meetings & presentation for technical context.
  • Share experts expertise with HW/ME Eng. Team in Asia & NA and other SBUs.

What You Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • 15 + years of overall engineering leadership experience
  • 10+ years leading Electrical or Mechanical Development teams
  • Experience of hands-on activities of the HW/ ME Domain activities on multiple projects
  • Organizational skills to work on multiple initiatives with tight deadlines effectively
  • A passion for people management to empower and develop a distributed team.
  • Extensive experience in working with stakeholders to create hiring strategies to develop quality teams
  • Proven success working closely with Product Management, contributing to the product strategy and helping to successfully deliver on the product roadmap
