About the role
You'll lead and manage high-level relationships with key customer organizations. Your goal is to drive business growth and strategy. You'll lead core account teams to execute business plans, monitor KPIs, and ensure value-based solutions meet both customer and company objectives.
Responsibilities
- Relationship Management: Identify, plan, facilitate, develop, and evaluate relationships at all decision-making levels between key accounts and Wajax. Represent the key customer to Wajax and ensure a unified approach.
- Business Development: Monitor industry intelligence, evaluate account potential, and identify opportunities to increase account penetration and expansion. Collaborate with key accounts and internal resources to initiate product sourcing, testing, and development of services.
- Planning: Analyze the key customer's financials, market, business targets, strategy, issues, needs, processes, value chain, and key business drivers. Lead the core key account team to develop and maintain account business plans.
- Results Delivery: Support creation of value-based offers, ensure seamless project execution, monitor KPIs, and lead the core key account team to achieve targets for order input, revenue, year-over-year revenue growth, share of wallet growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in business or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 7-10 years of strategic sales experience with a proven track record in account management and sales goals
- Leadership experience in general management and/or project execution
- Advanced business management knowledge with deep understanding of planning, reporting, forecasting, financing, operations, and market positioning
- Strong relationship management, networking, coordination, and collaboration skills
- Superior strategic planning capabilities with ability to incorporate business intelligence and customer capabilities to determine value proposition and opportunity insights
- High degree of business acumen (financial, market positioning, industry, and customer)
- Excellent project management skills, process discipline, and problem-solving abilities
- Proven negotiation, presentation, selling, and closing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Industry-specific knowledge and experience
