As Director (m/f/d) Regional Engineering – Focus Semiconductor Industry, you will lead the regional engineering organization with a primary focus on Advanced Technology Facilities. You are responsible for technical excellence, operational performance, and the contribution of engineering to sustainable regional business growth. In this role, you drive high‑quality, multidisciplinary engineering delivery, further develop leadership capabilities, and ensure alignment with global standards and best practices. The position can be based in Dresden, Stuttgart, or Nuremberg.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of senior discipline directors and managers within a complex, multi-disciplinary EPC engineering environment.
  • Drive engineering performance, resource and capacity planning, and operational excellence to meet quality, schedule, and cost targets.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of global engineering standards, tools, and digital best practices (e.g., BIM/VDC).
  • Hold accountability for engineering contribution to regional business results, including financial discipline and scalable growth.
  • Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with Project Delivery, Business Development, and Global Engineering.
  • Strengthen engineering competitiveness by building robust talent pipelines and sustainable organizational capabilities.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Engineering and 15+ years of experience in EPC and advanced technology facility projects (semiconductor, battery or comparable high-tech environments).
  • Proven experience leading senior managers in large, multi-disciplinary engineering organizations.
  • Strong background in engineering execution models, best-practice tools, and structured process environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership presence, high personal credibility, and ability to influence at senior stakeholder level.
  • Open-minded, collaborative leadership style with strong networking capability across functions and levels.
  • Fluent in English; German skills are advantageous.
