The Opportunity

Innovate and lead – as a Director on our MTO Delivery Team you will be at the forefront of delivering transformative transportation solutions for Ontario’s highways. You will lead complex design assignments, including major P3 and alternative delivery initiatives, shaping infrastructure that connects communities and drives progress.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver end‑to‑end project management for large‑scale MTO highway design projects, ensuring technical excellence and timely delivery.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to achieve project milestones, fostering collaboration across engineering disciplines.
  • Drive strategic planning and execution for P3 and alternative delivery models, influencing outcomes on high‑profile infrastructure projects.
  • Oversee quality assurance and risk mitigation strategies to maintain compliance and exceed client expectations.
  • Champion innovation in design and delivery, leveraging best practices to optimize performance and sustainability.
  • Build strong client relationships and represent WSP as a trusted advisor in transportation solutions.

Requirements

  • Professional Engineer designation in Canada (Ontario preferred) with a Civil Engineering degree.
  • 15 years of experience managing complex highway projects, including MTO and P3 delivery models.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Expertise in contract documentation, proposal development, and strategic project planning.
  • Familiarity with scheduling software and advanced project management tools.
  • A visionary mindset with adaptability to thrive in dynamic, fast‑paced environments.

Compensation

  • BC, AB, SK, NWT & NT: $177,000 – $234,400
  • MB & ON: $161,500 – $222,300
  • Atlantic Provinces & QC: $159,900 – $212,300

The final salary awarded may vary from the above range based on education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business needs.
