The Director of Civil Engineering leads the resort’s engineering and facilities operations, overseeing maintenance, life safety, compliance, capital projects, and vendor partnerships to ensure a safe, maintained property that delivers an exceptional luxury guest experience.

Job Responsibilities
- Engineering Leadership: Lead and develop the Engineering team through hiring, training, goal-setting, and performance management while ensuring 24/7 operational coverage
- Maintenance & Facilities Operations: Oversee all maintenance, preventative maintenance programs, and facility upgrades across guest rooms, public spaces, back-of-house areas, and critical building systems
- Life Safety & Compliance: Serve as the Life Safety Director, ensuring regulatory compliance, safety inspections, emergency preparedness, and proper handling of hazardous materials
- Financial, Vendor & Strategic Oversight: Manage budgets, inventory, purchasing, vendor partnerships, and long-term infrastructure planning while upholding brand standards and luxury guest expectations
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience as an Assistant Chief or Chief Engineer/Director of Engineering in a full-service hotel or luxury hospitality environment
- Bachelor’s degree and/or technical training or licensing in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or steam systems, with 3-5 years of supervisory engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and 8 years of related hands-on experience
- Experience with water/sewage management
- Ability and willingness to relocate to the Farmington, PA area
