Our client is searching for someone to join in a senior leadership position that provides full decision making authority across Data & AI.

The Role

• Design, operate, and continuously improve governance frameworks across APIs, data products, AI, platform lifecycle management, and integrations
• Lead cross functional governance bodies including a Data & AI Council, Data Governance Board, and Open Platform Governance function, aligning stakeholders across group companies and internal teams
• Define and evolve standards covering Data Mesh principles, API policies, AI guardrails, SLO/SLA rules, and regulatory requirements
• Govern the open platform, partner onboarding, API integrity controls, interoperability standards, and the contractual and technical guardrails that keep it all coherent
• Run data governance across decentralised domains, ownership structures, quality management, metadata, lineage, and Data Mesh operating principles in practice
• Apply responsible & agentic AI governance across model lifecycle, ethics, safety mechanisms, and the specific governance challenges that come with AI agents in operational environments
• Continuously assure maturity: data adoption, API monetisation, marketplace usage, and AI agent performance with a view to continuous improvement

Your background

• Experience with governance frameworks across APIs, data & AI with a track record of delivery
• Proven ability to lead and align stakeholders
• Working knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks
• Experience in data governance
• Understanding of Responsible AI and agentic AI governance
• Technical / Engineering background, or equivalent hands on exposure to how software and data systems are actually built and run. You don't need to have written production code, but you do need to understand what it means when governance decisions hit the assembly line
