About the role
Position Overview
Our client, a global market leader in its field, is seeking a dynamic Engineering Leader to guide and develop a high‑performing team of electrical designers and engineers.
This role is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of engineering projects aligned with business objectives, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and technical excellence.
The ideal candidate brings strong leadership capability, hands‑on technical expertise, and a proactive mindset to enhance processes, optimize team performance, and deliver high‑quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction and project leadership across engineering models, services, and capabilities
- Offer hands‑on support to team members to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency
- Align engineering priorities with stakeholder needs and coordinate cross‑functional efforts
- Collaborate with other engineering leaders to optimize scheduling and project execution
- Assess and improve engineering processes to strengthen performance and output quality
- Stay current with industry trends and share insights to support innovation and efficiency
- Foster team development by aligning individual strengths and career goals with business needs
- Provide timely, constructive feedback to maintain high performance standards
- Participate directly in engineering work when needed
- Develop and implement engineering standards, tools, and best practices
- Support broader organizational and cross‑functional initiatives
- Manage administrative and reporting responsibilities as required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and elevate engineering team performance

- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
- Flexible and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency in engineering design tools; Electrical CAD (e.g., EPLAN) experience is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required
- 5+ years of professional engineering experience
- Minimum 3+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams
- Proven experience implementing CAD tools and vault framework standardization
- Background in custom or semi‑custom OEM equipment within low‑volume, high‑capital manufacturing environments
