Your Mission

As Director of Electrical Engineering you will be the strategic and operational leader of a multidisciplinary team responsible for the design, development, validation, and support of all electrical systems in our clean‑room product portfolio. You will:

  • Define & execute the department’s roadmap, aligning it with corporate strategy and market demands.
  • Lead resource & budget planning – forecast staffing needs, manage OPEX/CAPEX, and ensure cost‑effective delivery.
  • Drive technical excellence – guarantee that all projects meet the highest standards of reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance (ISO 14644, IEC 60601, IEC 61508, etc.).
  • Mentor & develop engineers, project managers, and specialists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Mechanical Engineering, R&D, Quality, Production, and Sales to ensure seamless product development and timely market launch.
  • Represent the department in customer visits, audits, and industry forums, reinforcing our reputation as a technology leader.

What You Bring

Category Requirements
Education Master’s (or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
Professional Experience • Minimum 10 years of progressive engineering experience in clean‑room or high‑tech equipment.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role (department head, director, or similar).
Technical Expertise • Deep knowledge of power electronics, control systems, sensor integration, and safety‑critical design.
• Proven track record with industry standards (ISO 14644, IEC 60601, IEC 61508, IEC 61010, etc.).
Management Skills • Strong resource‑allocation, budgeting, and project‑portfolio management abilities.
• Experience building high‑performance, multicultural teams.
Languages Fluency in German (written & spoken) and English (written & spoken) – both are required for internal communication and customer interaction.
Personal Attributes • Strategic thinker with a hands‑on approach.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and sustainability.
Additional • Willingness to travel up to 20 % (customer sites, conferences, supplier visits).
