Director of Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil engineering, design, and construction-related projects.
• Serve as lead engineer and/or project manager for roadway, drainage, water, sewer, site, and flood protection projects.
• Coordinate with survey, geotechnical, and other subconsultants.
• Mentor EIs and junior staff while helping build and strengthen our engineering team.
• Assist with project pursuits, client relationships, and overall practice growth.
• Help improve project delivery processes, technical standards, and quality control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Louisiana Professional Engineer license, or ability to obtain quickly.
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in civil engineering design and/or project management.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering design, permitting, and construction practices.
• Experience with software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, PCSWMM, HEC-RAS, and HEC-HMS.
• Prior experience leading projects or mentoring staff preferred.
• Previous engineering management experience is a major plus, but not required.
