Director of Engineering, IoT Solutions As a Director of Engineering, IoT Solutions you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers that deliver system-level solutions for Edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. Projects can include proof-of-concept hardware demonstrations, reference designs, and application specific evaluation /development platforms. You will be a key member in Infineon’s Consumer, Computing,& Communication (C3) Segment, focused on Edge AI and IoT Applications. Key responsibilities • Lead a team of engineers to develop and deliver system solutions, including hardware, software, training material, documentation and collateral • Provide technical guidance to team members, helping develop their technical capabilities. Create training plans to improve/expand the team skill levels • Build and maintain trusted relationships with 3rd party partners and contractors • Manage associated budgets • Own the team’s technical roadmap and delivery milestones • Foresee technical risks and plan migrations ahead of time to deliver engineering features on time • Manage headcount planning, hiring, and performance reviews • Define and track KPIs for team output and solution quality • Maintain the quality of the work products through design/code review process • Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, and Marketing to align engineering priorities with business goals Your Profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed • Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. • 15+ years of experience with embedded and IoT systems, including 10+years leading engineering teams; experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and wireless connectivity is a plus. • Demonstrated track record of building, growing, and retaining high-performing engineering teams. • Demonstrated track record of delivering projects on time. • Working knowledge of Edge AI concepts, machine learning inference at the edge, and common AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow Lite, PyTorch Mobile). • Embedded hands-on development, hardware/software debugging experience. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to explain complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences. professional fluency in English (written and spoken) required. • Demonstrated ability to define and execute technical strategy inambiguous, fast-paced environments. • Strong collaboration skills with experience working across organizational boundaries Nice to Have • Experience with hardware bring-up, schematic review, or PCB design review processes • Experience with software architecture, design, and code reviews • Familiarity with IoT connectivity protocols: BLE, Wi-Fi, Thread, Matter, MQTT, etc. • Experience managing engineering budgets and external contractor/vendor spend • Experience working with global, cross-functional teams in a global organization
