Position Overview

The Director of Engineering - Land Development will lead and oversee all engineering aspects of land development projects, ensuring that they are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in civil engineering and experience in managing large-scale residential development projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the engineering team in the design and execution of land development projects.
  • Oversee the planning, design, and construction of subdivisions and other residential communities.
  • Coordinate with local municipalities and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with zoning and environmental regulations.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, and calculations for projects.
  • Ensure that projects meet quality standards and are completed according to plans and specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in land development and civil engineering.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale residential development projects.
  • Strong knowledge of subdivision design, MUD (Municipal Utility District) processes, and construction management.
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
