Director of Hardware Engineering

Introductory Description

An established industrial technology company is looking for a Director of Hardware Engineering to lead the development of complex embedded hardware platforms used in critical infrastructure environments.

Key Skills / Experience

Required

• 12+ years Hardware Engineering
• Proven experience in engineering leadership/management
• Mixed-signal PCB design
• Embedded ARM/SoC platforms
• FPGA experience (Xilinx preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Analog & power electronics (DC/DC, isolation, protection design)
• Circuit design & simulation
• Multi-site team management

Non-essential/Nice to have:

• IEC 61850 / industrial environments
• FMEA / DFMEA
• Grid infrastructure / substation automation
• Ruggedised hardware design
• IEC 61000 compliance
