Overview
Our client is seeking a high-impact Sales Director to lead growth initiatives within the railroad sector, focusing on Engineering, Digital, and IT services. This role is ideal for a strategic leader with deep industry knowledge, strong client relationships, and a proven ability to drive revenue through complex solution-based sales.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and expand sales efforts within the railroad and transportation sectors
- Drive growth across Engineering, Digital, IT, ERP, and Systems Integration services
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting CIO organizations and key stakeholders
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients throughout the sales and delivery lifecycle
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with executives and decision-makers
- Provide ongoing performance updates, manage expectations, and ensure client satisfaction
Project & Program Oversight
- Oversee complex engineering and IT service engagements from scoping through execution
- Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements
- Ensure alignment of scope, cost, schedule, and technical performance
Proposal Development & Execution
- Lead proposal development efforts, including solution design, pricing, and delivery strategy
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop competitive, high-quality proposals
- Support contract negotiations and closing of large-scale deals
Team Leadership & Operations
- Lead and manage cross-functional engineering, digital, and IT teams
- Support workforce planning, including recruitment and coordination with specialized staffing agencies
- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to team members
Quality, Compliance & Performance
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
- Monitor project performance, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement
- Maintain accountability for successful project delivery and client outcomes
What We’re Looking For
