About the Role

We are seeking a Director of Security and Technology Infrastructure to lead the architecture, cloud infrastructure, security strategy, and technical operations of our rapidly scaling SaaS platform. In this role, you will oversee Azure cloud environments, enterprise infrastructure, platform security, and backend development initiatives while providing architectural leadership and mentoring high-performing engineering teams. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone with deep technical expertise, strong operational acumen, and a passion for building scalable, secure, and resilient systems.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define and execute the organization’s technology, infrastructure, and security roadmap.
  • Translate business objectives into scalable technical strategies and actionable execution plans.
  • Provide hands-on leadership and guidance to engineering and infrastructure teams across multiple initiatives.

Infrastructure, Security & Technical Oversight

  • Oversee cloud infrastructure, system architecture, security protocols, and application performance to ensure scalability, reliability, and compliance.
  • Lead security best practices across infrastructure, applications, access management, and data protection initiatives.
  • Guide architecture, backend development, and AI integration efforts across active projects.
  • Ensure adherence to development standards, code quality, documentation, disaster recovery, and operational best practices.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and infrastructure solutions to support innovation and modernization.

Project & Product Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Product Management to align technical execution with business priorities, product goals, and delivery timelines.
  • Manage project progress, resource planning, and cross-functional dependencies across engineering initiatives.
  • Support informed decision-making by balancing technical scalability, security, and operational efficiency with business needs.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, mentor, and develop high-performing teams of engineers, architects, and technical leads.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify skill gaps and create development opportunities to support team growth and technical excellence.

Operational Excellence

  • Establish and monitor KPIs related to platform reliability, infrastructure performance, security, and delivery efficiency.
  • Optimize development workflows, DevOps practices, cloud operations, and deployment processes for scalability and resilience.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, infrastructure planning, and technology operational budgets as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and technology leadership roles.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based infrastructure management.
  • Strong expertise in .NET, C#, SQL, and scalable cloud application architecture.
  • Proven experience leading SaaS, AI, automation, or enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of modern software development practices including Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure security, and cloud operations.
  • Experience implementing security best practices across cloud environments, applications, and enterprise systems.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling high-performing technical teams in fast-paced environments.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $100K - $110K + 15% bonus.
