Position Summary
Direct and define principal market requirements, resulting in overall business strategy and annual business plans for new programs and/or products. Manage product lines and growth through strategic product planning and marketing, including research, feasibility analysis, product specifications, product launch, and market position maintenance. Participate in product modification, cost reduction, margin analysis, promotion, positioning, forecasting, and pricing strategies.
Responsibilities
- Direct and define principal market requirements for business strategy and annual plans
- Maintain Product Roadmap and IR&D Budget Plan covering 3 years, updated periodically
- Analyze and define market strategies and opportunities including new technologies and joint ventures
- Coordinate with Business Development to solicit customer requirements and guide Product Roadmap
- Define strategic framework for product concepts and technology road maps
- Work with Program/Technical teams on cost, schedule, feasibility, and customer funding
- Recognize market trends to develop annual business plans
- Prepare business cases for IR&D investment
- Ensure program decisions align with product strategy; participate in design reviews
- Update senior management monthly on strategic plans
- Lead new business proposals including mergers, joint ventures, acquisitions, negotiations
- Represent company in industry presentations and symposiums
- Deliver quarterly and annual strategic business plans
- Develop financial plans supporting business plans
- Support and reinforce company mission, values, and culture
- Support Business Capture activities including technical writing and capture strategy
- Manage product/business line orders, sales, profit, and cash flow
- Supervise Product Line/Program Managers and Engineering SMEs
- Support strategic partnerships and problem solving
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Recommend market strategies to expand sales and profitability
- Perform supervisory duties including hiring, training, appraisals, discipline, conflict resolution
- Mentor and develop staff
- Perform other duties and support special projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related discipline with minimum 10 years experience
- 15+ years experience with 4+ years supervisory preferred
- Master’s degree preferred
- Experience with U.S. Navy customers and programs (NAVSEA, NAVAIR, Naval Warfare Centers, US Navy Fleet)
- Must obtain and maintain U.S. Secret Security Clearance
- Ability to motivate and lead sales team
- Ability to develop market strategies using existing and new channels
- Experience in international marketing and sales management
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven success in sales, product management, and business development for technology products
- Experience with NSA Certified products or RMF a plus
- Excellent organizational skills and work ethic
- Ability to build relationships with customers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Project or equivalents

Compensation
The annualized pay range is $169,300.00 - $245,000.00 USD including a target incentive bonus plan of 5-10%. Pay considers role, experience, location, education, and skills.
