The Director of Product Management is a global position which improves the value of the product portfolios with the development and implementation of new product growth plans, branding, channel management, and marketing campaigns for the Laboratory Analytical Reagents Business Unit. The role will be responsible for leading a team and collaborating cross‑functionally to drive product development and deliver products and solutions that meet customer needs and drive business growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of product managers responsible for defining and implementing the chemical strategy.
- Provide pricing leadership and facilitate commercial operations accountability to achieve Division targets, partnering with the Global Commercial Management team to develop and implement a pricing strategy that ensures full end‑to‑end price is achieved by the business unit, leading to balanced business growth with strong profitability.
- Develop and maintain an effective go‑to‑market strategy, including using partners such as Independent Channel Partners and Fisher CCG to drive new customer enrollment, increase market penetration and achieve sales revenue goals.
- Work cross‑functionally with various departments in support of lifecycle management and new product introduction (Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, Pricing, Quality, Legal, Sales).
- Develop and own the product roadmap for the chemical portfolio, ensuring alignment with customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
- Drive innovation by identifying new product opportunities and developing reasons to support new product development initiatives.
- Develop pricing and packaging strategies that optimize product adoption and revenue growth.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key customers and partners to understand their needs and ensure that products meet their requirements.
- Define and track key performance metrics for products, including revenue, market share, customer happiness, and product adoption.
- Partner with operations and supply chain to ensure customers have a great experience with consistent quality and supply.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or related scientific field preferred.
- Advanced degree preferred.
Experience
- 10 + years of progressive product management experience in chemicals, life sciences, scientific instruments, or related industry.
- Successful track record in product management and/or strategic marketing; chemical and/or consumable product experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage cost and drive organic growth through innovation and profit.
- 5 + years of people‑leadership experience managing global teams.
- Experience leading cross‑functional teams in a highly matrixed global organization.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to drive data‑based decisions.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Demonstrated success in developing teams and collaborating across organizational boundaries.
- Knowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements (ISO, CE, FDA, etc.).
- Willingness to travel up to 25 % nationally & internationally.
- Strong project‑management capabilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with financial modeling and business case development.

- Competitive remuneration with an estimated salary range of $192,100 – $288,100 (based in New Jersey).
