Director R&D Mechanical Engineering (m/f/d)

These tasks await you

• Strategic and technological overall responsibility for the Construction / Mechanical Engineering department
• Active contribution to technology and product strategy to ensure sustainable competitiveness
• Definition, establishment, and implementation of a future-oriented technology roadmap
• Creation of suitable framework conditions for the introduction of new technologies
• Development of a uniform design language and ensuring the development of high-quality mechanical designs with an optimal cost-benefit ratio
• Continuous optimization of R&D processes
• Standardization and harmonization of tools, processes, and technologies across all construction teams
• Leadership and continuous further development of the global Mechanical Engineering organization
• Definition and tracking of goals (KPIs) as well as transparent communication of strategies and company goals
• Close cross-functional collaboration with internal departments such as Innovation Units, Value Engineering, Product Management, Industrial Engineering, Production, Quality Assurance, as well as external partners

These qualifications you bring

• Completed studies in mechanical engineering or a comparable technical qualification
• Several years of relevant professional experience in R&D, ideally in a globally operating company in the automation or electronics industry
• Leadership personality with proven experience in managing international and cross-site teams
• In-depth technical know-how as well as pronounced innovative ability and creativity in the field of mechanical development
• Sound experience in the mechanical design of electronic devices as well as in the design of plastic and metal components
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills as well as pronounced decisiveness
• Entrepreneurial thinking and action with a clear focus on results and value creation
• Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and a confident demeanor in an international and interdisciplinary corporate environment
• Fluent German and English language skills
• Willingness to undertake (international) business trips
