About the role

Overview

Prime, Inc. is looking for a motivated salesperson to join our Driver Recruiting team. This associate will primarily recruit, research, interview, screen and refers job candidates for openings.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews applications and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements;
  • Provides information about he organization and position to applicants;
  • Provides information on company facilities and job opportunites to potential applicants;
  • Confer with management to identify needs specifications within the company;
  • Develop and maintain network for contacts to help identify and source qualified contacts;
  • Initiate contact with possible qualified candidates for specific job openings;
  • Arranges travel and lodging for out-of-town applicants;
  • Schedule orientation for prospective drivers;
  • Manage a high volume of phone calls;
  • Practice Company Core Values.
  • This is NOT a remote position.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Knowledge

  • Basic knowledge of trucking/transportation industry preferred, but not required. Prior customer service experience preferred.

Abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and conflict resolution skills, and the ability to execute logical decisions quickly.
  • Ability to multitask in dynamic, fast-paced, team oriented environment.
  • Good computer and keyboarding skills with the ability to accurately type at 40 WPM.
  • Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and the general Internet.
  • Require flexible schedule with the ability to work a Monday through Friday 8am-5pm shift with a weekend rotation and occassional travel.
  • Candidate must have excellent customer service skills.

Experience, Education, and Training

  • Four year college degree in a business related field or at least one year in a customer service environment preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit for a large portion of the day. Also needs to be able to multitask, talk on the telephone for extended periods of time and type efficiently.

Working Environment

  • Primarily indoors with heating and cooling regulated in a general office environment. Surroundings can be noisy at times.

Licensing/Certification

  • None required.
