About

We are seeking a Driver Trainer for a permanent role based in Boksburg, Gauteng.

Requirements

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Minimum Gr. 12 with training experience advantageous
• Must have Assessor Certificate, Moderator Certificate & Facilitator Certificate
• Minimum of 3 years long distance HCV driving experience
• Extensive geographical knowledge
• Medically fit
• Ability to work with technology – Driver assessments done via electronic platform
• Valid Code EC License with PrDP and own transport
• Experience in the transport industry will be advantageous
• Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
• Sound general mechanical knowledge of trucks & trailers

Responsibilities

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Manage internal & external driver training programmes
• Manage all administrative functions related to driver training
• Plan and execute training schedules at various depots
• Ensure all drivers are fully competent prior to entering the field
• Develop electronic training material and videos
• Manage and development of driver performance
• Reporting on Training and Assessments conducted
• Conduct site and route assessments
• Create Power Point Presentations for drivers
• Travel with drivers for on route assessments/training
• Travel to different depots outside of your region for training purposes
• Manage Lytx Driver Management platform to identify training needs
• Allocate LMS Training based on individual training needs identified
• Attend and conduct Toolbox Talks with drivers
• Action driver coaching and corrective action
• Manage all driver training and development (self-drive & carrier work)
