Responsibilities

The role will include teaching:

• Resistant Materials up to GCSE
• Timber, plastics, textiles, electronics, paper and board, and metal
• Manufacturing processes and technical drawing
• Sustainability, social and environmental impact
• Mechanical systems and product design
• Research, iterative design, and evaluating
• CAD/CAM, modelling, prototyping, and practical workshop skills

The appointed DT Teacher will join a department with strong uptake at GCSE, where students are enthusiastic about practical learning and enjoy applying creativity alongside technical knowledge. Every DT Teacher is supported to deliver engaging lessons that inspire curiosity, independence, and problem-solving skills.
