Your Mission:

• You will take responsibility for the technical further development, stability, and performance of our Shopify stores.
• You will work closely with the performance marketing and brand team, translating growth hypotheses into technical solutions – from A/B tests and landing pages to conversion-optimized funnels.
• You think in KPIs: You understand how pagespeed, UX, and funnel logic affect conversion rate, AOV, and customer lifetime value – and prioritize your work accordingly.
• You proactively deliver new features and keep themes and apps up to state-of-the-art level.
• You create Shopify apps – including for connecting third-party systems – and ensure their integration into existing Shopify stores.
• You support our team with technical SEO and ensure a performant, search engine-friendly foundation.
• You stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and technologies, continuously learn, and apply new tools and practices to constantly improve our web presence.

What you bring:

• You have at least 2 years of experience as a developer in a DTC or eCommerce company – ideally with an owner-managed multi-brand setup on Shopify Plus.
• You have experienced eCommerce not just through agency or freelance projects, but were part of an in-house team working together on growth.
• You have in-depth knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, React, and CSS/PostCSS, as well as Shopify Plus & App Development (front-end & back-end development).
• You work confidently with Shopify CLI, Liquid, the Theme Editor (Schema/Settings), and Shopify Theme Sync.
• You have experience in developing backend functions in Node.js, Ruby on Rails, or similar technologies.
• You are proficient with GitHub.
• You possess excellent problem-solving skills and a love for detail.
• You speak German at a native level and your English is very good.
• You are based in the DACH region.

• You are characterized by personal responsibility, self-discipline, and a goal-oriented approach to work.
• You are motivated, reliable, and bring a high degree of loyalty and conscientiousness, especially when dealing with code.
• You understand that good code in eCommerce is not an end in itself – but drives revenue, UX, and brand perception.
• You like to question the status quo, are open to change, and bring new ideas to continuously improve our processes and products.
