Role Description
This is a full‑time Ottawa‑based role for an E‑Commerce Growth & Marketing Manager. The successful candidate will lead and execute CanadaWheels’ digital growth and marketing initiatives across CanadaWheels and USAWheels. The role combines performance marketing, lifecycle marketing, analytics, content strategy, merchandising collaboration, and e‑commerce optimization. You will work closely with leadership, product/platform teams, design, and external partners to drive customer acquisition, conversion, retention, and revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the overall growth and marketing strategy across CanadaWheels and USAWheels
- Manage and optimize email marketing campaigns, lifecycle flows, and customer retention initiatives
- Oversee social media strategy, content planning, and campaign execution
- Collaborate with internal design, product, and development teams to improve conversion rates and user experience
- Analyze website, customer, and campaign performance data to identify growth opportunities
- Work with SEO/GEO partners and internal stakeholders to improve organic visibility and website content
- Coordinate seasonal campaigns, promotions, vendor marketing initiatives, and product launches
- Monitor KPIs such as conversion rate (CR), average order value (AOV), customer lifetime value (LTV), revenue growth, and retention
- Help build dashboards, reporting systems, and data‑driven marketing processes
- Manage and improve customer journey touchpoints across web, email, marketplaces, and social platforms
- Contribute to marketplace growth initiatives including eBay Canada and eBay USA
- Stay current on e‑commerce trends, AI tools, customer acquisition strategies, and emerging digital marketing technologies
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in e‑commerce, growth marketing, digital marketing, or related fields
- Strong understanding of e‑commerce growth metrics including CR, AOV, CAC, ROAS, retention, and LTV
- Experience using SEO, GEO, and content optimization tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, ChatGPT, Perplexity, or similar platforms
- Experience with email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo or Mailchimp
- Experience with analytics platforms such as GA4, Looker Studio, Google Search Console, or similar tools
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels including SEO, content, social media, lifecycle marketing, and paid acquisition
- Ability to analyze data and turn insights into actionable growth initiatives
- Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced and highly collaborative environment
- Self‑starter with strong ownership mentality and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal English
Nice to Have
- Experience working with Shopify, Magento, Adobe Commerce, or other large‑scale e‑commerce platforms
- Experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO)
- Familiarity with automotive, aftermarket, or enthusiast industries
- Experience with marketplace platforms such as eBay or Amazon
- Experience using AI tools as part of marketing and operational workflows
- Basic understanding of SQL, dashboards, or business intelligence tools
