E-Commerce Product & UX Designer

About the role
As a Product Designer at Group Bayport, a rapidly growing global e-Commerce organization, you will play a pivotal role in spearheading UI/UX development efforts for B2C user-facing applications. Collaborating closely with the Product Manager and Tech Leads/Developers, you will contribute to shaping user experiences for cross-border e-commerce products. Your responsibilities will include:
- Guiding design decisions and swiftly creating wireframes/prototypes, refining them iteratively with design principles in mind. - Establishing design objectives and research priorities with product and management teams to impact the product roadmap. - Partnering with product, development, and business teams to deliver optimal UI/UX solutions based on user needs. - Utilizing user behavior data to inform key design changes and promote UX thinking throughout the product lifecycle. - Conducting formal and informal user research independently, ensuring actionable user feedback and validating designs using data. - Leading efforts in continually enhancing user experiences through regular heuristic evaluations of the product.
Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field. - 8-10 years of interactive design, user research, and UX design experience in a production software engineering environment, preferably in e-commerce. - Proven track record in scoping, planning, and leading end-to-end UI/UX activities. - Extensive experience in conducting formal and informal user studies/research to gain insights into user behavior. - Proficiency in various design facets including user personas, interaction flows, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity UX specs, and responsive design for web and mobile. - Experience in designing frontend customer-facing applications, especially in ecommerce. - Desired qualities include strong teamwork skills, excellent communication abilities, problem-solving capabilities, and a portfolio showcasing modern web and mobile applications.
