Enterprise Document Management Production Support (Application Support Specialist)

About the Engagement

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Document Management Production Support professional to act as a subject matter expert for a business‑critical document management ecosystem. This role focuses on identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving complex application and system issues across multiple platforms that support enterprise content and document management.

The ideal consultant is highly analytical, thrives in production support environments, and functions as a “software detective,” collaborating closely with upstream and downstream application teams to ensure platform stability, performance, and continuous improvement.

Services to be Provided

• Act as an application support subject matter expert for enterprise document management platforms
• Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot production issues across multiple system components
• Perform root cause analysis using advanced observability and monitoring tools
• Support incident management and end‑user issue resolution for business‑critical systems
• Analyze system performance and identify optimization opportunities
• Develop and implement solutions to enhance system stability and functionality
• Collaborate with cross‑functional technical teams to ensure seamless system integrations
• Automate and/or simplify repetitive operational processes to reduce system incidents
• Document troubleshooting procedures, solutions, and best practices to build a reusable knowledge base
• Participate in on‑call rotational support as required

Expertise Required

Enterprise Content & Document Management

• 5+ years supporting or administering Enterprise Content Management (ECM) or Document Management Systems (DMS)
• Expert proficiency with EMC Documentum / OpenText Documentum
• Expert proficiency with Rocket Software (formerly ASG) Mobius
• Strong experience with Mobius platform optimization, including:
  • Repository management
  • Archiving strategies
  • Content retrieval performance tuning

Monitoring, Troubleshooting & Infrastructure

• Advanced proficiency using Splunk and Dynatrace for application monitoring, issue detection, and root cause analysis
• Advanced experience monitoring and troubleshooting Java microservices deployed in OpenShift environments
• Strong production support and incident response experience in distributed systems

Database & Data Access

• 5+ years experience working with Oracle databases
• Advanced proficiency writing SQL queries to investigate and troubleshoot complex production issues

Nice to Have

• Mainframe experience, specifically supporting and administering Mobius z/OS environments
