YOUR ROLE

CFM is seeking a motivated and curious ECM fundamental analyst to conduct in-depth fundamental analysis of IPO opportunities in EMEA and help CFM form a view on IPOs coming to the market. The candidate needs to be eager to learn about new business models and comfortable navigating diverse topics simultaneously across different geographies and sectors. The candidate will join the newly launched (January 2026) ECM strategy at CFM, will report to the ECM relationship manager and contribute to building our ECM capabilities for the years to come. The position will be Paris based.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

IPO Coverage

• Help establish CFM as a relevant IPO participant in EMEA
• Screen and track the EMEA IPO pipeline, identify new IPO opportunities
• Participate in conferences to meet potential IPO candidates early on
• Participate in early-look and deep dive meetings with management teams of potential IPO candidates
• Conduct in-depth fundamental analysis of upcoming and live EMEA IPOs through preparation of comprehensive investment memos including detailed valuation framework and recommendations

Day-to-Day ECM Coverage

• Participate in listed companies' corporate roadshows and investor presentations
• Conduct companies' results reporting analysis to evaluate potential block trades opportunities
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize CFM's ability to participate in deals
• Track ECM portfolio performance
• Actively monitor and share insights on ECM trends and deal flow patterns
• Act as reliable back-up to the ECM relationship manager

Cross-Functional Partnerships

• Collaborate with partners in Research to develop and finetune investment strategies at ECM level and beyond
• Interact with external data vendors to source additional information about potential investment opportunities

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, audit standards, and internal controls

YOUR SKILLS

• 5+ years of experience in fundamental equity research (either sell-side or buy-side)
• Proven track record of conducting detailed fundamental analysis of companies (and ideally IPOs)
• Strong valuation modelling skills across multiple methodologies (DCF, comparable companies multiples etc.)
• Deep understanding of capital markets and in particular IPOs and block trades
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Communication skills with capacity to interact with and build relationships with a broad range of interlocutors, from management teams to sell-side equity research analysts, sector experts, but also brokers, equity advisors and financial sponsors
• Business-centric approach with capacity to rapidly analyze and form a view on numerous diverse investment opportunities with rigor and attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in Finance, Business Administration or related field
• Collaborative team player who will integrate easily into a broader team

PREFERABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL

• Experience in covering midcaps and/or IPOs
• Professional certifications (e.g., CFA)
