Datmos is hiring its next eCommerce Product Owner & Business analyst !
Reporting to the Account & Delivery director, the eCommerce Product Owner & Business analyst acts as a key intermediary between clients and the development team. You will be responsible for analyzing business needs, documenting and maintaining the product backlog for our client's projects, and ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical execution. This role requires a strong bilingual communicator who understands both business and technical realities, and who thrives in a client-facing, agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Acting as the main liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure alignment and clarity.
- Leading requirements gathering workshops and translating business needs into well-defined user stories.
- Creating, prioritizing, and maintaining a transparent product backlog aligned with business objectives.
- Supporting clients in their digital transformation and eCommerce strategy.
- Collaborating closely with strategy, business, and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Documenting and diagramming customer systems while identifying new business opportunities.
Requirements (Must-Have)
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Owner and/or Business analyst, ideally in an eCommerce environment.
- Strong experience in business analysis (Ability to analyze business processes, identify gaps, and propose solutions)
- Strong ability to ask the right questions to shape and clarify eCommerce vision and strategy.
- Strong background in eCommerce platforms (Magento, Shopify, etc.) and related systems (ERP, DAM, etc.).
- Experience documenting requirements (functional specifications, process flows, use cases)
- Ability to bridge business objectives with technical implementation
- Fluency in both French and English (spoken and written) is necessary as you will work in both languages with our clients.
- Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Solid knowledge of business analysis techniques and documentation practices.
- Deep understanding of e-business challenges, strategies, and best practices.
- Experience in business process modeling and eCommerce business rules.
- Proven experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum framework).
Nice to have (Assets)
- Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) certification - strong asset.
- Experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst is highly valued, especially in eCommerce or digital transformation projects.
