About the role
Join the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) in Montreal to contribute to biomedical research and patient‑centered medicine. This full‑time, temporary position invites a project manager to support the Interprofessional Program in Advanced Communication Skills (IMPACS) under the supervision of Dr. Justin Sanders.
Position Summary
Department / Research Program: Interprofessional Program in Advanced Communication Skills - CORE / Cancer Research ProgramCERES (Centre for Relationships in Serious Illness) Lab
As project manager, you will coordinate and manage IMPACS‑related activities, develop educational materials, organize education sessions across multiple institutions, and assist with related research grant preparation. The role offers collaboration with learners, educators, researchers and institutional partners to enhance communication skills training in healthcare.
General Duties
- Coordinate meetings and facilitate collaboration across multiple institutions.
- Participate in international collaborative meetings on system‑level communication intervention.
- Serve as liaison between Dr. Sanders' research team, administrative staff, and external partners.
- Organize, update, and maintain project materials to ensure relevance and accuracy.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee training sessions, workshops, and program activities.
- Collaborate with educators, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to achieve project objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate educational effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance tracking.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation of project activities and outcomes.
- Provide support and guidance to team members and stakeholders, addressing questions and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

- Quality Materials: Ensure accuracy, relevance, and accessibility of project resources and documentation.

- Project Oversight: Track progress, manage timelines, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Active Engagement: Contribute to project discussions, planning and implementation efforts.
- Grant and Reporting Support: Assist with funding applications, progress reports, and documentation.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities adhere to ethical, institutional and regulatory guidelines.
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly evaluate processes, materials, and outcomes to optimize project effectiveness.
Education / Experience
- Education: Master's Degree in Education, Health Sciences, Communication, Public Health, Psychology or related field.
- Preferable experience: e‑training tools and learning management systems (LMS).
- Work Experience: 1-3 years of project management or related experience.
Required Skills
- Advanced knowledge of oral and written French.
- Advanced knowledge of oral and written English.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision.
- Capability to work across multiple communication platforms (e‑mail, Slack, etc.).
- Problem assessment and problem‑solving abilities.
