About the Role

This is not a traditional recruiting role—and this is not a typical education organization.

The Connor Group is seeking an Executive Recruiter to lead teacher and education hiring for our nonprofit school, Greater Dayton School. This role is critical to building a world-class faculty and staff that will directly impact student outcomes.

You will operate with a high level of ownership, partnering with school leadership to identify, attract, and close exceptional educators—many of whom are not actively looking.

What You’ll Do

• Own full-cycle recruiting for teachers and school leadership roles
• Proactively source high-caliber educators (not just active applicants)
• Build pipelines from education, nonprofit, and mission-driven organizations
• Partner closely with school leadership to define hiring needs
• Evaluate candidates for both capability and cultural alignment
• Create a best-in-class candidate experience
• Drive urgency and close candidates in a competitive talent market
• Track pipeline, activity, and hiring metrics with discipline

What We’re Looking For

• Background in recruiting, education, or a mission-driven organization
• Strong preference for candidates with education experience (teaching, administration, or education recruiting)
• Proven ability to proactively source and engage talent
• High level of ownership, urgency, and follow-through
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
