Electrical Design Engineer – control cabinet & system design
For the expansion of our systems engineering team, we are looking for an enthusiastic electrical design engineer with a passion for high‑tech systems. In this role, you are responsible for the electrical, control, system, and safety design of our motion and simulation platforms.
You will work on new system designs as well as improvements and maintenance of control cabinets.
You are part of the engineering team and work closely with system engineers, mechanical engineers, and production.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical and control systems used in our products
- Specify, design, and select electrical, safety, and control components (servo drives, sensors, cables, PLC components, etc.)
- Design control cabinets (panel layout, routing, bill of materials)
- Create electrical schematics and documentation (E‑Plan or similar tools)
- Test systems, analyze results, and document findings
- Provide technical assistance to the sales and customer support team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (preferably measurement/control engineering or automation)
- Experience with E‑Plan or similar electrical CAD software
- Knowledge of relevant engineering and safety standards (EN / CE)
- Affinity with control systems for machines, industrial communication protocols, sensor and servo technology, and control cabinet design
- Structured way of working, analytical mindset, and strong problem‑solving ability
