In this essential role, you will act as the backbone of our high-voltage division. You will lead by expertise, ensuring every substation, transformer, and distribution system we deliver is safe, code-compliant, and constructible. This is a role for a leader who isn't afraid to get involved in the technical "nitty-gritty" while maintaining the high-level vision of the project lifecycle.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Scope Execution: Lead high-voltage project execution including substations, E-houses, transformers, switchgear, and lightning protection systems.
  • Design & Sealing: Develop, review, and seal electrical designs, including single-line diagrams, protection philosophies, and grounding studies.
  • Standards & Compliance: Ensure all deliverables meet CEC, CSA, IEEE, IEC, utility, and client-specific standards.
  • Field & Factory Support: Support factory acceptance tests (FAT), site commissioning, energization, and outage activities.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary technical interface with utilities, inspectors, contractors, and clients.

  • Credentials: A Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license in good standing is required.

  • Technical Mastery: Strong hands-on knowledge of HV protection principles, relay coordination, and grounding/bonding systems.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or similar electrical design tools.
  • Leadership Mindset: Proven ability to lead technically, manage priorities, and promote a disciplined safety culture.
  • Bonus Skills: Experience with temporary high-voltage power systems or integration-level knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems is a strong asset.

Compensation

The salary for this position is competitive, starting at $120,000.00 to 150,000.00 annually and commensurate with the candidate's knowledge and relevant experience.
