Electrical Project Manager

Overview

A leading engineering and project delivery environment is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Project Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex electrical projects from initiation through to commissioning, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical projects across their full lifecycle (FEED, design, execution, commissioning, and close-out)
• Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management
• Manage multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements
• Drive project execution in line with NEC3 contract frameworks
• Oversee and coordinate work related to SCADA and PLC systems
• Provide technical oversight on MV, LV, and HV electrical systems
• Prepare and present project reports to senior stakeholders
• Ensure effective contract administration and claims management

Minimum Requirements

• BEng or BTech in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in electrical project management
• ECSA Professional Registration (Pr Eng / Pr Tech Eng) – mandatory
• PMP certification – essential
• Proven experience working under NEC3 contracts
• Strong exposure to SCADA and PLC systems
• Solid experience in MV, LV, and HV electrical infrastructure
• Demonstrated experience in project scheduling, budgeting, and execution
