Role

Reports to: Electrical Director

Job Location: Remote, supporting various projects across Canada, some site travel required

Under the supervision of the Electrical Director, the Electrical Project Manager is responsible for the follow-up and management of electrical engineering for wind and solar projects. They also support in the preparation phase of construction projects, manage the procurement of equipment and develop agreements with major electrical subcontractors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering - Power Systems (an asset) or any relevant experience
• 10+ years of experience in the construction of high and medium voltage electrical substations and medium voltage network
• Team Player and ability to work with remote teams.
• Be available for occasional travel within Canada.
• Responsibilities, duties and requirements can vary according to the project needs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the follow-up and management of projects’ electrical engineering in collaboration with electrical engineering firms
• Participate in project start-up and closing meetings
• Guide all the project electrical operations
• Analyze contract requirements and make sure to fully understand the client's needs
• Develop agreements with electrical sub-contractors
• Ensure that project engineering is in accordance with the documents and contractual requirements
