The Role

This is a site-based Electrical QA/QC role on a live data centre project in Vienna, operating on a 10/4 fly-in fly-out rotation.

You’ll report to the QA Manager and work directly with project teams on site, ensuring electrical installations are delivered in line with specifications, standards, and commissioning requirements throughout the build, not just at handover.

You’ll be embedded in delivery inspecting, coordinating and driving quality across all electrical systems on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical inspections across all stages of installation (cable containment, cabling, switchgear, panels, earthing systems) • Ensure works are delivered in line with: • Drawings, specifications, and ITPs • Project quality plans and procedures • Applicable electrical standards and regulations • Support the QA Manager in implementing the project Quality Management System (ISO 9001 aligned) • Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure quality compliance on site • Raise, track, and close out snags, NCRs, and quality observations • Coordinate inspections with client representatives and consultants • Support the development and management of test packs and electrical completion documentation • Participate in system walkdowns, energisation readiness, and handover processes • Assist with commissioning activities, including pre-commissioning checks and validation • Maintain accurate QA/QC documentation including: • Inspection records • Test results (IR testing, continuity, functional testing) • Material certifications • Review and support redline drawings and commissioning documentation • Contribute to a “right first time” delivery approach, identifying issues early and preventing rework • Liaise with engineering and construction teams to resolve technical issues via RFIs • Support internal audits and ensure compliance with project QA procedures

What You’ll Bring

• Electrical qualification (degree or trade background with QA/QC experience) • Typically 3–5+ years’ experience in QA/QC within M&E or construction environments • Proven experience on live construction sites (data centre experience highly desirable) • Strong understanding of: • Electrical systems (LV/MV distribution, containment, cabling, panels) • Inspection and test plans (ITPs) • QA documentation and handover processes • Experience with test packs, walkdowns, and system completion • Familiarity with QA systems and digital platforms (e.g. Procore, Eida or similar) • Strong attention to detail with the confidence to challenge standards where required • Ability to work closely with site teams and influence quality outcomes
