Electrical Test Engineer

Avanciers is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Test Engineer for an exciting opportunity with one of our Fortune 500 clients, based in Richmond, VA.

Role: Electrical Test Engineer

Location Richmond, VA (Onsite)|

Key Responsibilities • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards while working on equipment and supporting field teams. • Analyze customer-returned defective products and prepare detailed root cause / 8D reports. • Work with field service and quality teams to implement containment and corrective actions. • Visit customer sites to troubleshoot issues, provide technical support, and collect defective materials. • Perform root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives for product quality and operational efficiency. • Support testing, troubleshooting, and servicing of electrical distribution and control systems.

Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field. • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or electrical systems environment. • Hands-on experience with transformers, PDUs, STSs, UPS systems, or similar electrical equipment. • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and PCB assembly drawings. • Experience using test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and power analyzers. • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred. • Familiarity with industry standards such as UL, IEEE, NEMA, or CSA is a plus. • Experience with MS Power Platform is an added advantage.
