We’re working with a well-established engineering and manufacturing company focused on VFDs, motor control systems, and industrial automation. With a strong track record across North America, they support a wide range of industrial applications.
The Opportunity
This role sits at the intersection of engineering and production.
You’ll take electrical designs and turn them into practical, build-ready systems, working closely with the shop floor to ensure designs are efficient, accurate, and easy to execute.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Convert schematics into physical layouts and panel designs
- Design enclosures, component placement, and systems (VFDs, MCCs, switchgear)
- Create assembly drawings, work instructions, and build documentation
- Ensure designs are practical, manufacturable, and efficient
- Support testing, validation, and troubleshooting
- Work closely with production and suppliers
- Maintain drawings, BOMs, and documentation
- Contribute to improving design standards and processes
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Electromechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering
- E.I.T or P.Eng (or working toward it)
- 5–10 years of experience in panel design or similar environments
- Strong understanding of:
- Electrical systems and integration
- Mechanical layouts and enclosures
- Buildability and production workflows
- EPLAN experience required (AutoCAD Electrical is a plus)
- Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing is an asset
- Background in DFM, BOMs, and work instructions preferred

- $100,000 – $120,000 base salary
