Responsibilities
- Design, develop, simulate, analyze, fabricate, test, and evaluate custom electronic systems in a laboratory and office environment.
- Perform hardware, firmware, and software development and test.
- Use CAD (computer‑aided‑design) tools to develop mixed‑signal designs from schematic to working assemblies.
- Conduct schematic circuit design and entry, printed circuit board (PCB) design and layout, source code generation and compilation for embedded devices, software development, interfacing with vendors, supervision of assembly, test procedure generation, and design verification testing of completed electronics assemblies and software.
- Apply solid understanding of microcontroller inner workings (memory, interrupts, peripherals, etc.) and FPGAs (resources, timing closure, placement, etc.).
- Prepare technical reports and documentation.
- Program and run various forms of computer simulation.
- Research technical subjects.
- Specify and purchase parts for projects.
- Interface with customers at the technical level.
- Attend the office as required for debugging, verification testing, mentorship, and collaboration.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- 2‑5 years of work experience
- Experience in any combination of the following disciplines: embedded firmware, analog electronics, power electronics, feedback control, digital hardware
- Detail‑oriented approach to tasks
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Working knowledge of circuits and electrical systems
- Ability to apply theory to a variety of real‑world problems
