Electronic Systems & Embedded Solutions Intern

Role Summary

The intern contributes to the development of next‑generation measurement instruments by designing, prototyping, and testing electronic systems. The mission focuses on integrating wireless Bluetooth connectivity into an existing clamp meter product line, from feasibility analysis to functional prototype implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the evolution of an existing clamp meter by integrating Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication capabilities.
• Study technical documentation for electronic modules (Bluetooth RN4870, microcontroller PIC12F1822) and ensure correct implementation.
• Develop and test embedded firmware for ADC acquisition and UART communication.
• Assemble, configure, and validate communication between microcontroller, BLE module, and external devices (PC, smartphone).
• Design electronic schematics and PCB layouts using KiCad for a didactic measurement board.
• Perform bench tests, functional verification, and troubleshooting of hardware prototypes.
• Contribute to the definition of technical requirements and documentation of the development process.
• possibly works on developing Java/JS/HTML code for unser interface.

Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge in analog and digital electronics, embedded systems, and signal measurement.
• Experience with microcontrollers, ADCs, UART communication, and firmware development (C language).
• Familiarity with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) principles and serial communication tools (using TeraTerm).
• Practical skills in prototyping: soldering, breadboard testing, PCB design.
• Ability to read and interpret datasheets and technical documentation.
• Rigor, autonomy, and interest in innovative measurement technologies.
