Responsibilities

  • Point person for managing technical requirements and specifying/proposing solutions during the sales process – often for custom solutions. Until the deal is won, be the primary technical contact.
  • Define custom electronic product solutions for SECO customers. Utilizing embedded system knowledge and system-level thinking, analyze requirements, make recommendations for electronic, software, and mechanical solutions, and collaborate with the client to optimize the solution for technical, performance, cost, and time-to-market.
  • Develop and deliver proposals for custom product designs. Own the process - technical, schedule, and pricing assessment.
  • Resolve client technical issues during the critical technology evaluation phase prior to closing the sale.
  • Other related tasks, including definition of product requirements documents, user manuals, and systems-level guidance to engineering development teams.
  • Bias for action and proactive attitude for defining and solving technical issues with ultimate business and customer objectives in mind.
  • Travel within the US and Canada as-needed, up to 25%.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of related technical design experience developing electronic products.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Strong and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of one or more of these technologies: x86, Arm, FPGA, wireless communications, Microsoft Windows, Linux, Android, embedded software.
  • Ability to work on ITAR projects (US person).

Desired Qualifications

  • Work within a process-oriented environment in military, medical, or commercial industries.
  • Experience with technical interactions with savvy customers, such as being a field application engineer (FAE) or equivalent.
  • Project management, technical sales, and/or requirements definition experience.
  • Experience with microprocessor and microcontroller-based designs.
  • US citizenship.
