ELK Ops Engineer - Insurance - Freelance

Context

Logboard is a log monitoring platform based on the ELK stack. As part of the current expansion of monitoring coverage, several onboarding projects are ongoing to enable Group Entities and internal products to benefit from Logboard capabilities. There is also a need to establish the strategic roadmap for monitoring solutions within the Group. To support these initiatives, we need to increase our delivery and study capacity.

Missions

• Deliver operations on the ELK product
• Configure and administer the ELK platform
• Develop log collection and indexing scripts
• Contribute to monitoring studies
• Define platform onboarding strategy
• Configure the platform and develop onboarding scripts
• Conduct studies on end-to-end observability platforms
• Provide task breakdowns and estimates for development tasks

Tools & Environment

• ELK stack: Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana
• Linux operations expertise for ELK instance maintenance
• Azure environment deployment
• Infrastructure as code tools: Terraform, Puppet, Git
• Development of log ingestion pipelines using Logstash, Filebeat
• Log storage and indexing with Elasticsearch
• Dashboard creation and alerting features with Kibana
• Implementation of OpenTelemetry

Requirements

• Significant expertise on ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)
• Linux ops expertise for maintenance of ELK instances
• Experience with Azure environment
• Knowledge of Terraform, Puppet, and Git for deployments and merges
• Ability to develop new pipelines of log ingestion using Logstash and Filebeat
• Experience in storage of logs and indexation with Elasticsearch
• Skills in creating dashboards and alerting features with Kibana
• Experience with OpenTelemetry implementation
