Embedded Linux Engineer (Linux Kernel / C++)

Role Overview

As a Software Developer III, you will work on low-level system software, focusing on Linux kernel and device driver development. Your work will directly impact system performance, stability, and hardware enablement across Microsoft platforms.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Strong C/C++ development background
• Deep knowledge of Linux kernel internals
• Experience contributing to open-source/Linux upstream (highly preferred)

Must-Have Skills

• Strong experience with Linux Kernel Development
• Proficiency in C / C++ programming

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Linux kernel development & device driver programming
• Strong understanding of:
  • Operating system internals
  • Hardware-software interaction
  • Low-level debugging
• Experience with:
  • Kernel build systems
  • Git/version control
  • Open-source development workflows
