Responsibilities

• In close cooperation with product, platform, and app teams, you will shape the next generation of device control software for connected fully automatic coffee machines and extractor hoods.
• You will define architecture principles, standards, and governance structures to ensure that software remains scalable and reusable across product generations.
• From concept to integration of series-ready domestic appliances, you will contribute your expertise to the development of modern embedded software.
• Architecture reviews will help you to identify technical risks early on and support development teams in making complex decisions.
• Together with international teams in Gütersloh and Brașov, you will further develop modular software platforms for the Miele Smart Home ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as a Software Architect (m/f/d), Principal Engineer (m/f/d), or Lead Developer (m/f/d) in the embedded or systems environment will give you the necessary confidence for complex architectural decisions.
• You have already built scalable and modular software platforms, combining technical quality with long-term reusability.
• Very good knowledge of C/C++ as well as practical experience with embedded systems such as bare metal or Linux are part of your daily work.
• You pragmatically apply model-based development, software quality assurance, and architectural methods, rather than just knowing them in theory.
• You provide technical direction in international development teams, coach other engineers (m/f/d), and bring different interests together.
