A Typical Day

Your day begins with the daily stand-up of the agile team, then you continue working on our firmware platform. You will focus on the further development of existing modules in C/C++ with a focus on Zephyr RTOS. You will specifically optimize and expand the firmware to continuously improve the performance and reliability of our devices. In the next step, you will dedicate yourself to firmware design and implementation on our ARM microcontrollers. You will work on clearly defined topics and develop solutions for specific requirements. Occasionally, you will evaluate new technologies or approaches – for example, in the areas of display control, sensor technology, or signal processing – and check their sensible integration into our system. Later in the day, your focus will be on quality assurance. You will develop unit and component tests and integrate them into our CI/CD pipeline to ensure the long-term stability and traceability of the firmware. Your day typically concludes with code reviews or planning the next development steps.

Your Profile

• Completed technical training (university/university of applied sciences/HTL) in electronics, electrical engineering, or computer science with at least 5 years of experience in embedded software development on microcontrollers (C/C++, ideally also Python)
• Knowledge of Zephyr RTOS or comparable real-time operating systems is an advantage
• Sound understanding of electronic circuits, including reading and analyzing circuit diagrams and deriving firmware requirements
• Experience in the design and implementation of embedded software architectures
• Interest in energy-efficient firmware development (low-power modes, optimized resource utilization)
• Initiative, openness to new technologies and methods. Team-oriented, structured, and at the same time independent way of working with the ability to drive technical topics forward and take responsibility
• Experience with agile development processes and confident use of tools such as Jira and Confluence
