The Role

We seek Associate Embedded Software Engineers to become part of our Government Vehicle Health Management Systems (GHVMS) software team located in Hazelwood, MO. This role supports our Defense, Space & Security organization and involves developing software that enhances the safety and readiness of military aircraft by leveraging advanced technologies, including AI, for smarter maintenance solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software that complies with industry standards and regulations
  • Analyze and convert customer requirements into software product designs
  • Write and build code for software that operates on specialized embedded hardware
  • Integrate software solutions with existing hardware components
  • Monitor and optimize the efficiency and stability of embedded systems
  • Test, debug, and troubleshoot software for various embedded devices
  • Implement new technologies, tools, and frameworks relevant to software and hardware development
  • Provide advice on software and hardware integration processes
  • Evaluate and monitor both internal and supplier software team performance for compliance with industry standards
  • Manage projects related to embedded software development

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Must be able to obtain U.S. Security Clearance, requiring U.S. Citizenship
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with embedded systems and software development (C, C++)
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Knowledge of Linux and software containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (JIRA, Git)
  • Understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering tools (MSOSA, Cameo) is preferred
  • Previous experience in the Aerospace industry is a plus
  • Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
  • Secret Clearance is advantageous
