Embedded Software Engineer

About

You will develop the algorithms, software, and documentation required to control mining haul truck functions.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and debug software for embedded systems, components, and support tools.
• Interface with mechanical and hydraulic engineering groups to define software requirements.
• Create technical documentation describing software design and architecture.
• Participate in root cause analysis investigations to resolve design issues.
• Review and develop software lifecycle processes.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Proficiency with C++ and CoDeSys.
• Experience with MATLAB.
• Hands-on knowledge of RS232/485 and CAN drive.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools to verify software stability and function.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project.
• Ability to write detailed technical specifications for software functions.
